ASAKO・amayadori

Asako Amayadori was born in a quiet town near Japan’s largest lake, where mountains embraced the land and rivers whispered their endless songs. She grew up feeling the breath of the wild, the crisp touch of flowing water, and the vastness of the deep blue sky. To her, the color that lies beyond all things—the essence of the world itself—was blue.
Since childhood, her hands were always creating. She studied art, then spent years as a chef, a ceramic artist, and a photographer. Yet, as time passed, she found herself crafting only what was expected, not what her soul longed to express. The colors that once filled her heart grew distant, leaving only a restless, murky void.
Then, a certain someone said to her, "Why don’t you try painting your own art?"
She picked up a brush and painted with abandon. From the depths of blue and light, a cat emerged—gazing upward, unafraid, as if searching for something beyond.
A cat. A creature that simply exists, true to itself. Unknowingly, she had painted what she, too, longed to be.
Now, she paints blue and cats, exploring the beauty of living as one truly is—free, untamed, and bathed in light.

麻子・amayadoriは、日本の一番大きな湖のそばにある静かな街で生まれ育った。山々が大地を抱き、川が永遠に歌うようにささやく場所だった。自然の息吹を感じ、流れる水のひんやりした感触と、深い青空の広がりの中で育った。彼女にとって、すべてのものを超えて存在する色、世界そのものの本質は「青」だった。
幼少期から、麻子は常に何かを作り続けていた。美術を学び、シェフや陶芸家、写真家としても経験を積んだ。しかし時が経つにつれて、自分が心から表現したいものではなく、期待されるものだけを作っていることに気づいた。かつて心を満たしていた色が遠く感じられ、代わりに不安定で濁った空虚さが残った。
そんな時、「自分の作品を描いてみたら？」 と、とある人から言われた。彼女は筆を取り、無心で描き始めた。青と光の中から、まっすぐに上を見上げる猫が現れた。恐れを知らず、まるで何かを探し求めるかのように。
猫。 ただ存在している、ありのままの姿の生き物。無意識のうちに、麻子は自分もそうありたいと願っていた姿を描いていた。
今、麻子は青と猫を描きながら、ありのままに生きる美しさを探求している。自由で、野生で、光に包まれた生き方を。
