KAZU TSUTSUMI

KAZU TSUTSUMI is a painter who has studied engineering and science, and has experience in the research and development of technology and business. After studying the science of crystals at university, he has been interested in exploring the principles of form, and he began producing acrylic paintings, taking inspiration from his research. Then he joined JCAT and encountered NFT art, and now he is also producing various digital art.

Since 2023, he has been studying art at Graduate School of Kyoto University of the Arts, researching the evolution of art. He believes art is something that humans need to build themselves and live freely. He is adding to his perspective, there was a fusion of Eastern thought, which sees humans as a part of nature rather than the ruler of it, and modern science, which began to perceive life from within, the history and evolution of art. He is challenging the world opened up by expanding his field of view.

KAZU TSUTSUMIは工学や科学を学びビジネスの経験も経て画家となった。彼は大学で結晶科学の研究をして以来「造形原理」に興味を持って探究を始め、その探究からインスピレーションを得てアクリル画の制作を始めた。そしてJCATに加わりNFTアートと出会い、様々なデジタルアートの制作も行っている。
2023年からは京都芸術大学大学院で芸術学を学びながらアートの進化の研究をし、更に活動を広げようとしている。彼はアートというものが人間が自分で自分を築き上げ、自由に生きてゆくために必要なものと考えている。その視野にはこれまで人間を自然の支配者ではなく自然の一部と捉える東洋思想と、自らの内側から生命を捉え始めた現代科学の融合があったが、更に芸術の歴史や進化という視点を加えてゆくことによって拓けてくる世界に挑戦している。
