okko

Born in rural Japan and surrounded by lush green mountains, okko discovered her passion for art during her childhood, spending countless hours drawing animals and flowers. She has exhibited and performed around the world, including at Times Square (2017), New York Gallery (2019), and the Mona Lisa Gallery in Paris (2022). Her work spans ink paintings, murals, billboards, and AI art, showcasing a diverse range of creative expressions. A transformative visit to New York in 2015 provided her with the opportunity to break free from traditional constraints and embrace artistic freedom. Combining Japanese craftsmanship with a global perspective, okko brings healing and inspiration across borders.

okkoは多彩な表現で描く和と癒しのアーティスト。日本の田舎、山々の緑に囲まれた環境で育つ。 幼少期から絵を描くことが大好きで、時間を忘れるほど絵を描いていた。この情熱は、彼女の人生と芸術に一貫して息づいている。

彼女は日本というARTに関して閉鎖的な環境の中で孤独に活動をしていた。2015年NYへ渡米の際、NYの自由な表現・手法に驚き、今までの固定概念から解放された。彼女の日本人独特の職人の繊細さとNYでの経験を活かし、時代や国境を超え人々に癒しとインスピレーションを届けている。
