Yoko Kitazaki

Yoko Kitazaki believes that everyone has experienced not only happiness and joy, but also a lot of sorrow and suffering, and yet they have lived their lives with hope in their hearts. She draws a portrait with her heart by capturing the emotions and precious thoughts that are common to all people, as well as the awareness at the soul level that lies deeper within us.
Currently, she is working on acrylic abstract paintings. Exhibiting her works mainly at many international exhibitions by Italian artists’ groups, she also takes part in exhibitions in New York and Paris. In addition, her work has been published in Italian art magazines and an artist catalog.
Duality is always rooted in the themes of her production which contains the message of “Seeing the whole phenomenon from the viewpoint of the mind.” As a feature of the work, she changes smooth paint with a special technique to create "movement, flow, luster, drips, lumps, and cracks"and so on. She uses a number of these different textures on a single screen, and she depicts the landscape deep inside her heart. She prays that these works will heal people's hearts and become a positive energy.

北嵜葉子は、人は誰もが幸せや喜びだけでなく、多くの悲しみや苦しみをも味わい、それでも希望を胸に人生を歩んでいると考えている。彼女は、人々に共通する感情や大切な想い、そのもっと奥に潜む魂レベルでの気づきなどを掬い上げ、心の肖像画として描いている。

現在、彼女はアクリル抽象画を制作している。主にイタリアのアートグループの国際展に多数出品しており、ニューヨークやパリの展覧会へも作品を出している。さらにイタリアのアートマガジンやアーティストカタログにも掲載されている。

制作テーマの根底には二元性があり、「心の視点で事象の全容を見る」というメッセージが込められている。作品の特徴として、彼女は滑らかな絵の具を特殊な技法で変化させ「動・流・艶・滴・塊・裂」などを創っている。それら異なったテクスチャーを一つの画面上にいくつも使い、彼女は心の奥深くにある風景を描く。それらの作品が人々の心を癒して、前向きなエネルギーになることを祈っている。
