Atsushi Nomura

Born in Tokyo in 1963.In his childhood,Photographer Atsushi Nomura was surrounded by visual information overflowing from TV,and nurtured especially by “light and colors”.His grandfather was a Makieshi,a gold lacquer artist who inherits the technique of the Japanese traditional crafts in Kanazawa,a precious cultural city of crafts and fork arts in Japan.He might inherit the gene of the artistic talent from his grandfather.The world of creation was the sea Atsushi Nomura should swim in.Becoming a copywriter,he was a seeker of lingering and sympathetic words,and when he got a second -hand camera Leica,it opened another door.
Impressed by the photographs of Japanese photographers Ihei Kimura and Daido Moriyama,he took a large number of snapshots.In 2010,after moving to Shodoshima,an island in Setouchi area which is famous for the beautiful scenery with a lot of islands,he learned for three years at the photography school of Naoki Ishikawa.He exhibited his works in two group exibitions in Tokyo,and group exhibitions of photography school (“Double Home”2017,“firefly”2018,“Hello my casts”2019).He also published two photobooks.
He wants to record the fragments of the scene that flies away and quickly disappears as a proof that he is alive.He cuts out a scene in ordinary life,being conscious of light and shadow.His desire is to express in his photographs the world of a famous song of Bossa Nova“ Waters of March” recorded in New York in 1973.

1963年。東京都に生まれた写真家・野村充史は、普及したカラーテレビからあふれる視覚 情報に囲まれ、とりわけ「光と色」に育まれた。祖父は金沢の伝統工芸を継承する蒔絵師で、芸術の遺伝子が刻まれている。創造の世界は彼が泳ぐべき海だったのだ。コピーライターに なった彼は余韻や共感のある言葉の探求者であったが、社会人になって買った中古のカメラ Leica がひとつ扉を開けた。
日本の写真家・木村伊兵衛、森山大道の写真に衝撃を受け、膨大な量のスナップ写真を撮った。2010年、多島美で有名な瀬戸内にある小豆島に移住し てからは、写真家・石川直樹氏の写真学校で 3年間学んだ。グループ展示 2 回(東京)、写真学校のグループ展示(展示タイトル:「Double Home」2017、「firefly」2018、「Hello my casts」2019、)、そして 2 冊の写真集をつくった。
飛び去り消えていく光景の断片を、自分が生きていた証として表出させたい。光と影を意識しながら、ささやかな日常を切り取る。その写真表現で目指すものは、1973年にニューヨークで録音されたボサノヴァの名曲「三 月の水」の世界である。
