KIMIAKI

Others

KIMIAKI perceives sounds as colors and patterns, and similarly, sensations from smells and tastes evoke visual responses. He impulsively creates forms from these stimuli, transmitted through his nervous system to his brain. By exploring and articulating these brain characteristics, he discovered that natural and artificial brains are similar and that matter and humanity are interconnected.
He believes his artistic journey began at the moment of conception, vividly remembering the perspectives just before the fusion of sperm and egg. Growing within the blurred boundary between life and death and being born on Earth, he has wandered the boundaries of life and death, exploring the essence of life since childhood.
As a child, he enjoyed imagining unknown worlds and expressing the unseen. However, upon entering elementary school, he struggled to adapt to formal education and closed off this sensitivity. This led to intense personal suffering, making it difficult for him to get through each day. Through transforming his suffering into art, he gradually overcame his struggles and eventually became an artist who turns humanity's pain and sorrow into hope.
