Mikiko Fukai

Mikiko Fukai is a photo artist who brightens the world with her work.

【When she photographs people, she falls in love with them. When she photographs nature, she feels grateful to be there. Through her art, she allows many people to share emotions and experience deep connections.】

Mikiko grew up in a home filled with family photo albums and began taking photos in high school under the influence of a mentor. She has continued her career as a photo artist even after getting married and having children. Influenced by her mother, a Japanese-style painter, Mikiko excels in still-life photography, combining flowers, fruits, Japanese paper, and fabric to create a unique world view. She has held numerous solo exhibitions, and her works are treasured by many collectors.

Since 1999, Mikiko has been involved with CISV, an International peace education organization, serving as an official photographer. She captures the smiles and treasures of people around the world and holds solo exhibitions across Japan, where she also photographs visitors. Her photos bring smiles and happiness to both the subjects and viewers.

“Making the world a notch brighter”—this is Mikiko’s mission and approach as a photo artist.

Mikikoは多くの家族アルバムがある家庭で育ち、高校生の時に恩師の影響で写真を始めた。結婚・出産後も写真作家として活動を続けている。日本画家であった母の影響を受け、花や果物、和紙や布などを組み合わせた独自の世界観を持つ静物写真を得意としている。彼女は多くの個展を開催し、作品は多くのコレクターに所蔵されている。

1999年以来、国際平和教育団体CISVに参加し、国際公式フォトグラファーとして、世界中の人々の笑顔と宝物を撮影している。日本各地で個展を開催し、会場では来場者の写真を撮影。彼女の写真は撮られる人も見る人も笑顔にし、幸せな気持ちにさせる。

「世界の露出を一段明るくする」——それがMikikoのフォトアーティストとしての使命と活動である。
