T.Sugi

T. Sugi, currently 85 years old, is a distinguished figure in the field of package design, having navigated from the analog era into the digital age. Throughout his notable career, he has earned numerous design awards and has been actively engaged in a diverse array of activities, including calligraphy, teaching at art schools, and children's art workshops. His artistic work spans across three-dimensional works, oil paintings, and watercolors.
One of his remarkable works is his ongoing series of character portraits, aiming to depict 10,000 individuals, capturing the essence of their times, including fashion trends—a hallmark of T. Sugi's distinctive style. Additionally, he has long been committed to raise awareness about environmental issues and has continuously put forward innovative proposals as a designer.
T. Sugi has also actively participated in exhibitions both domestically and internationally, showcasing his work to broader audiences. His artistic achievements have been documented in multiple book publications as well.
With the motto "Effort surpasses genius," T. Sugi keeps challenging himself. He remains actively involved and expresses a determination to pursue numerous ambitions still awaiting realization.

アナログ世界からデジタル時代を生きた、パッケージデザイン界の巨匠である。
数々のデザイン賞を獲得。カリグラファー、美術学校講師、子供アート教室など幅広く活動してきた。
主に立体作品、油絵、水彩などを用いた作品を制作している。
中でも10000人目指して描き続けている人物アートは、その時代の特徴であるファッションなどを捉えたT.Sugiらしい作品の一つである。
また、長年に渡り環境問題に関わるアピール、及びデザイナーとしての提案を続けている。

「努力は天才に勝る」を人生のモットーにチャンレンジし続けるその姿勢は、
全く年齢を感じさせない。
一生現役！まだまだやりたいことが沢山ある！と語るT.Sugiのエネルギーは、
